The 2010 Shortie Awards: International Film & News Festival's awards ceremony will be held on Sunday May 23rd at La Maison Francaise in Washington, DC. We'll screen entries, hand out awards and celebrate youth media! Want to join in the celebrations? a) your name and b) the number of people in your party. Tickets are free, but hurry - seating is limited! The deadline to RSVP is May 20,2010.

Please note: Due to security reasons at La Maison Francaise, you will not be allowed into the festival if you or your party has not RSVPd.

Every year Shortie celebrates student filmmaking and news programs with his very own festival awards ceremony. Shortie's best entries are screened and the winners are announced. It is an exciting program that gives students and their teachers an opportunity to show off their work in a public venue. The 9th Annual Call for Entries is open until April 9, 2010.
